Dusty words lying under carpets,
seldom heard, well must you keep your secrets
locked inside, hidden deep from view?
You can talk to me... (Stevie Nicks)

You must of captured these outside! so many different colors! You do macros so well! we have one that we call the heirloom plant. It belonged to DH grandmother & she gave it to him (and it was huge then) back around 88? just before she passed. she would keep it out on her front porch most of the year, but it would never bloom for her. I have chopped off chunks to give to other family members. it blooms when it wants too. and sometimes with 1 flower when a family member passes. ~Faythe ~
ReplyDeleteBright sunny pictures. YAY! So colorful!
ReplyDeleteWow! Beautiful pictures. I like the lighting in some of these, especially the backlighting. It makes the flowers even more dramatic.
ReplyDeleteExquisite translucence, it looks as thought they want to take off an fly into the light.

ReplyDeleteOooo and Ahhh! The next to the last photo looks like a swan taking a dive....

I especially like the way you have captured the light behind the first one, but they are all such lovely pictures :)
ReplyDeleteHappy WW!
Beautiful, thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteSuch delicate and intricate photos of those flowers. Flowers were exactly what I needed to see today with the slam of winter having hit hard. Thanks for starting my day so wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I think that I'm zeroing in on an SLR camera. As long as I don't go wild with too many lenses, I think that I can carry it while hiking! I haven't decided yet on which model... That's next.
Those shots are incredibly stunning. Such clarity and color and I love the blue sky background!
ReplyDeleteMy gosh, how many Christmas cacti (cactuses?) do you own? They're great. My two bloomed last year, but haven't made a move this year.

They are so beautiful, I had no idea what they were till I read some of the comments. What an eye you have. Thanks for sharing such delightful colour on an otherwise dull day. I put some of my crocheted toys on my blog if you want to see them.http://lindysmaidwidluv.blogspot.com/2010/12/crocheted-toys.html. Hugs lin
ReplyDeleteRenee, we have 13 so far, all in assorted colors. The Lizard had 6 or 7 when we began dating, and he gave me one when I had my back surgery (my first Christmas cactus ever!). We got married the next year, and we've bought one every Christmas we've been married. A couple of his original plants have died, and I've shared branches with friends; so our collection actually goes a lot further than what's in our living room!
ReplyDeleteWe all need color like this...I think it's good for the soul!
