  3. I follow Mikey on a regular basis and was excited to see him do one of your flakes. I really enjoy looking at the work that you do. I have attempted some snow flakes and think I have been bitten by the snowflake bug. I was wondering though, what do you do with your flakes? Do you sell them? Because i just love the different stitches that are in them and so forth. Love your website!!!

  4. I was excited to see Mikey do one of your snowflakes. I had seen some of your work before, but to see someone actually do one and and stiffen it. It was lovely!! I have attempted to do some snowflakes and love doing them with the different stitches and so forth. I was wondering though, just what do you do with your snow flakes? Do you sell them? Or just what do you do? they are all so lovely.

  7. Congrats! I have done four of your designs so far and I think they are genius (meaning so are you :)). And I'm amazed with your generosity for sharing them free! Thank you so much. Totally love that huge one that is featured and am going to see if I can find that pattern and conquer it. :)

  8. Fabulous video! Hubby and I are trying to keep this as a homemade Christmas, including tree decorations and such, this is so fantastic!

Quick question though, if I did this with a small gauge cotton or wool, could I do this with Mod-Podge Glossy or Matte and add the glitter to that?

Or is this glue not stiff enough?

also, your yarn recommendation is beautiful!

  9. Thank you, everyone! I'm still somewhat blown away by the entire concept, but I think it will be so awesome for crocheters to see tutorials, especially for the tricky parts of some snowflakes, which I guess I'm beginning to realize I've committed...

Echo, I think the Modge Podge should work just fine. I have never stiffened worsted weight or sock yarn, but it works great on fabric, so I'm assuming it will do just fine on projects larger than thread, too. Good luck!

  11. Welcome, Harold! I posted a video last year of my Christmas tree, decorated with crocheted snowflakes. I plan to make another video this year, and I'll publish it before Christmas. My snowflakes also top some of the packages I send out. They make nice gifts!
