Eye Candy
Here's a fun challenge I stumbled upon last year but didn't have time to play with until February. My garden was withered and buried by at least 12 inches of white stuff that refused to melt, so I shot flowers The Lizard gave me for Valentine's Day. I still haven't had time to play with those photos yet, but when I do, the joy of February romance will last well beyond the shortest month of the year.
A couple of co-workers received flowers for their respective birthdays last month, and both asked me to take pictures while the flowers were still gorgeous. I ended up playing this macro challenge again, this time in even smaller time increments, and without lights or studio.
These photos are the result of just one of those improv quickie photo sessions.
How many macro shots you can click in ten minutes?

Dusty words lying under carpets,
seldom heard, well must you keep your secrets
locked inside, hidden deep from view?
You can talk to me... (Stevie Nicks)

I love the first picture with the baby breath? and the very last picture. But they're all nice. =]
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I'm a sucker for yellow and that creamy, pale yellow with the Baby's Breath is just stunning! Do you plant Baby's Breath in your garden? It does pretty well in CO and UT soils. (Gypsophila)
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking pictures. Isn't nature incredible and how you have captured it.
ReplyDeleteVery nice.
ReplyDeleteI could take flower pictures forever. They're such little miracles. The fact that they don't last makes them even more precious. These are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteFunny... I do the same thing (take photos of my flowers in order to savor them long after they're gone). These are lovely... the yellow is so soft, so inviting, so sunny.
ReplyDeleteThose are so rich and soft... Eye candy is the perfect name for them! They look almost like pillows that I'd like to sink into.
ReplyDeleteI love taking macro shot... and I can take a lot in a short period of time :)
Oh, so nice....so nice, indeed.
ReplyDeleteSo delicate and fragrant. I swear I can smell them!
