He did it!
240 miles, 20,000 feet in elevation gain, six mountain passes, all in two days, complete with a flat tire, rain, wind and hail, as well as a bit of dodging lightning by seeking shelter beneath dense stands of trees. The Lizard is one of 500 cyclists who successfully completed the inaugural Double Triple Bypass!

Dusty words lying under carpets,
seldom heard, well must you keep your secrets
locked inside, hidden deep from view?

I am in awe. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Lizard!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's quite a big deal!
ReplyDeleteThat is beyond fantastic. A man of steel! I can't begin to imagine that much climbing and mileage in one weekend - at elevation too.
ReplyDeleteTremendous congratulations to the Lizard. You must be very proud of him.
Double-Triple Congratulations to the Lizard! Wow, if I had glitter, I'd fling it far and wide. That is an enormous accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteHeck, maybe I'll go buy some glitter. Yep. This deserves a hoot-n-hollerin' celebration! :)
Thanks folks! It was quite the ride!
ReplyDeleteHats off to Snowcatcher, too. She was always heaping encouragement, passing me food, making sure I had water, taking wet clothes off my hands and being my biggest fan!
Thanks Snowcatcher!
