Fragile Lizard

Collared Lizard
Yet another of my photos is being converted into artwork. And this time, it's for The Lizard and me!

Stratoz is creating a magnificent stepping stone for our garden. Stepping stone really isn't a good description for where this masterpiece will wind up. Ultimately, the heavy glass-covered concrete square eventually will be surrounded by hyacinths, daffodils, lavender, roses, pampas grass and whatever other flowering plants I can manage to grow in our clay, and the stepping stone won't be playing home to feet. As I envision it, our Lizard of Glass will be the literal jewel of the neighborhood.

When we install this work of art, I will share before and after photos, disclose why The Lizard is The Lizard and impart what I know about real-life collared lizards. Now stop snoring!!! It will be fun info!

See the latest progress of Stratoz's work here.

  3. Oh I didn't get the feel for snoring either...in fact for a split second I thought he was going to move off the screen...I swear his right leg was in motion! What a beautiful lizard it is!

  4. Snoring? You underestimate your loyal cyber-friends. We appreciate art AND nature and can't wait to see the one and learn about the other.

This guy looks like he's wearing a custom-made brown leather helmet. He's quite decorative.

Hmmm...leather helmet. Mr. M had one of those when I met him - an old leather net cycling helmet. Now I'm REALLY curious to hear the Lizard's story.

  6. Yes, a very familiar lizard! Stratoz and I have some gluing in our immediate future, so the lizard can come together.
