We LOVE the 2012 Ride the Rockies Route. If we are drawn in this year's lottery, the hair comes off in Mayish. Here's to hoping some child (or adult) somewhere will have a head full of LONG blonde hair...

Dusty words lying under carpets,
seldom heard, well must you keep your secrets
locked inside, hidden deep from view?

Your hair is beautiful, and you are too, to be willing to do this. I've just read your other post about donating your hair, and your friend with Cancer. I admire you for what you do. Hugs lin
ReplyDeleteWow. Your hair grows fast! Of course if you were a goat, you would just shed it off when the weather got warm. It's kind of convenient, unless we have one of those 'get cold again' surprises. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda and Marigold!
ReplyDeleteI probably need to clarify my hair doesn't grow fast. It has taken about six years to get as long as it is now, which is about six inches longer than the 2011 photo. It's baby fine, it breaks easily and it's slowly turning silver. So this may be the last time I get to donate to a primarily children's hair charity. Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed we get drawn! (Although I may donate it anyway because ear level is about where the silver is beginning to come on pretty strong.)
So pretty!!!! But what a dear thing....although it so brings back memories of my daughter going in and getting hers cut to donate too....13 inches gone today but her hair grows back quickly and it is for such a worthy cause!
ReplyDeleteI'm way behind on blog reading but I deduce from this post that you got in to RTR.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to give to charity.
Thanks so much for your kind comment. Mom is gone now.
