I rode my bike to work for the first time since Bike to Work Day in June. I could ride only one way because I'm not up to 60 miles yet. Nevertheless, the bike path downtown provided more than a day's worth of stunning and unexpected fall scenery.
I cycled by the red walls before the sun came up, so there wasn't enough light for photos. So I walked back the following day during my lunch hour with the real camera (and donated blood during lunch hour, too!).
What beautiful pictures, the colors are magnificent. Nature, there just aren't words to describe its beauty.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Glor! I wish autumn could last longer, but I guess if we saw those radiant colors ever day, they wouldn't be as special. Darn it!
DeleteThe Virginia creeper is so pretty this time of year. Congratulations for riding all the way to work! Good onya!
ReplyDeleteNow I know what kind of plant that is! Thank you, Camera Girl!
DeleteGood old Virginia Creeper.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, Tulsa Gent, for letting me know what kind of plant that is!
DeleteYou certainly brigthened my day! Such lovely autumn colors and so bright and cheery, I do enjoy that over our gloomy days lately!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen! I have to enjoy bright sunny days as much as possible, too, because we never know for sure when the next big storm... or wind... will hit!
DeleteOh, so gorgeous - the Virginia creeper in our area did very poorly this year (dang drought) and I missed its autumn splendour around town. Thanks so much for letting us see yours! And congrats on riding to work.... :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sue. It was so nice to ride to work again. I hope I can do it again in the spring...
