Dusty words lying under carpets,
seldom heard, well must you keep your secrets
locked inside, hidden deep from view?

What a cute, cute cake! And a lovely couple too.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your weekend. :)
We did have a terrific weekend, Sue. I'll be retouching photos for what feels like the rest of my life, but it was a great wedding and a fun time with friends!
DeleteLooks like a lovely affair, blessings to the new couple...beautiful bride, and lovely family photo...blessings
ReplyDeleteto you all.
Thanks, Faith! I loved how they worked in so much DYI, especially in this day and age of tough finances.
DeleteLook happy as can big and one big arse cake too.
ReplyDeleteNot much left over at the end, though, Pat!
DeleteHow fun to see the cake come together like that. And love the birds.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the newly married couple!
It truly was fun to see the bride's mom put together this cake, which she made from scratch, Catsynth. She literally thought of everything and was prepared for every little bump!
DeleteThe contrast of textures of burlap and ribbon is lovely.
ReplyDeleteNot sure I'd seen anything quite like this, Margaret. It was an interesting mix of textures and colors. Very country, and yet modern.
DeleteWhat a great series of photos, love you caught the finger-licking moment! Who could resist that cake? And what a beautiful bride - your daughter? daughter in law?
ReplyDeleteNo, no relation, Niahm. But I've worked with the bride's father for more than 19 years now. I've watched this little girl grow up!
DeleteA great series of photos! I was worried about someone bumping the cake as I progressed through them. What a young and happy couple. All the best to them!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I've been "off the grid" for what feels like most of the summer. Sorry for my absence but I should be around now for a while! Your photos inspire me... so I need my fix!
