Saturday I put out the call for help after learning I had roughly three weeks to raise $233 to be considered a High Roller for next year's MS-150. Last year, I'd been cut off without warning with only about five dollars left to raise. This year, at least I got warning, but the deadline was SO short!!!
Sometimes news and current events cause me to wonder if there are good people in the world.
Saturday, once again, the people in my world proved there are still plenty of good people in the world. Really good people.
I count myself blessed to mingle among the blogging and crocheting communities.
5 NOV 2013 UPDATE: I'm now registered for next year's ride. My new fund-raising page is located here.
Ewwww same **** house, different sign. lol so germy. Awesome you made it too.
ReplyDeleteHi Snowcatcher! I had to come over and see your blog! I know I will be back. We're practically neighbors since I live in Aurora! I'm glad that you made your high roller goal. How wonderful that you support the fight against MS. Your crocheted snowflakes are lovely. And so are your quilts! My great grandmother, grandmother, and great aunts were amazing quilters in Nova Scotia. One of my goals in retirement is to take up quilting! My first year I've been focusing on my health, photography, and writing. We'll see how much more I add in during the second year! Take care!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by, Louise! It is a pleasure to "meet" you! Maybe since we are neighbors, we might really meet one day! Maybe in a quilting guild!!!
DeleteCongratulations!!!!! (And Aack! Somehow I missed that call for help! But it looks like a lot of good friends pitched in.)
ReplyDeleteHow GREAT that you made High Roller Status for next year ... you will be riding in a cloud of glory. AND using the Special Potties! :D
No worries, Sue! You are correct. I get by with a lot of help from my friends! They really came through this time!
DeleteYep, special potties next year! Isn't it sad that's the benefit I like the most?!? Does that say something about me??? :)
