  1. Nice quilts. These ones have an abstract and symbolic quality to them. I almost feel like I am looking at mysterious text :)

    1. Thanks, catsynth! In a way, you are looking at mysterious text. Many of these are Dear Jane Quilts, one is a Farmer's Wife Quilt, and the others may be variations on Nearly Insane, all of which were inspired by quilts made of worn-out clothing, long before fabric shops. You are reading fiber history as you view these quilts!

  2. Very colorful, they do look to be like some ancient symbolic text

    1. Yes, the color variations some quilters come up with are fascinating, Pat!

  3. These are great! I thought they were mosaics at first until I looked more closely, where did you see them?

    1. In a sense, they are mosaics, Niamh. These ones were on exhibit at the Capitol until October.

  4. They are beautiful. I love how you presented them... all photographed just the same way. I love the last one most of all!

  5. Oh gosh, doesn't it make you want to pull out all your stash and make a sampler quilt? It does me. These are great.

seldom heard, well must you keep your secrets
locked inside, hidden deep from view?
