Here are more of my favorite quilts from the Denver National Quilt Festival. This year's theme was "The Height of Excellence." Because I shot about 800 photos in three hours, I have a few more shots to share for upcoming special occasions, such as Fourth of July and Christmas. What better way to celebrate a holiday -- or even a rainbow -- than to feast your eyes on the outstanding needlework of artists from all over the country!

Dusty words lying under carpets,
seldom heard, well must you keep your secrets
locked inside, hidden deep from view?

Beautiful! I don't quilt but love to admire other's work.

DeleteThey are greatly done indeed, so many colors take seed
ReplyDeleteYes, so well done, Pat. I could just stare at them all day. Or wrap up in one and admire the quilting... :)
Deletekind of overwhelming to another quilter... wowie zowie. Very stimulating, does it make you want to sew?

Just about everything makes me want to sew, LeeAnna! But yes, these are SO inspiring!
DeleteSpeechless.
ReplyDeleteOkay, have to say that those tiny pieced squares in the Irish Chain blew me even further away than I was already blown by these astonishing quilts.
