"Mealy bug" (and every variation under the sun) still ranks high on the list of search terms readers use to find my blog. "Snowcatcher" and "snowflake" (and all conceivable variations and spellings) still top of the list and probably always will, but those darned mealy bugs that gave me such a fit a couple of years ago still draw a huge amount of visitors. Because I'm using the phrase again, I'll probably get a whole new host of related hits, so I'd better provide a link to the post describing how I finally got rid of those nasty little monsters.
Here you go, Mealy Bug Warriors! Best of luck. Burn those pots, because that about the only treatment that will work!
Pat Hatt at It's Rhyme Time regularly runs posts on the screwball search terms readers use to arrive at his domain. Some of them literally leave me flaberghasted.
But now I have one of my own. I still can't believe someone arrived at my page using this, and by publishing it here, I'm opening myself to more. Why do I do this?
Because it might make you smile, and there's nothing like a good belly laugh on a rainy day. Or a winter day. Or just about any day, really.
Someone found my blog by doing a search for, "photos of people cutting lizard into pieces."
Sacrilege!!!
lmao hey maybe they are a vet or studying to be one and just needed some info? Or they are a serial killer in the making, watch out!
ReplyDeletePretty funny, Pat!!!

DeleteThis is what happens when you post about lizards AND quilting.
ReplyDeleteVery scary!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!
DeleteP.S. One of my big search terms is, believe it or not, "homemade pancake syrup". I wrote a post about it a couple of years ago and it's one of the top-commented posts on the blog. Go figure! :)
ReplyDeleteI actually think that's an awesome reason for people to find your blog, Sue. And I remember well drooling over that post!!!
