I've fallen behind! Even on the Moda Blockheads project!!! The autumn quarter snuck up on me, and my WIP list did not receive any attention at all for the last three months. However, I did surpass last year's bicycle mileage, then my mileage for 2016! (And I've lost 13 pounds!!!) Then, on a whim, I decided last week to make more than four dozen special snowflakes as a gift to be presented next week. I can't share a photo yet, but I will soon. I promise. The snowflake project pretty much did it for me for the end of the summer quarter. The only time I've touched my sewing machine in the last two weeks was to complete one of the four Blockhead blocks I'm behind on (shown above), and tomorrow I will be one or two more block behind... YIKES!
It will be so awesome to get back to my sewing machine this quarter!!!

Well unchanged at least makes it easy to know lol Beating your miles is a big win.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat! It is really good to be able to ride again without elbow pain, at least most of the time! Still slowly building mileage!!!
DeleteSEW many beautiful projects!! Why haven't you joined the UFO Club on Ravelry lately? We miss seeing your progress.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joy!!! I've not missed a quarter. I've just missed progress during some quarters... like the last one. I'm in this quarter!!!
DeleteYou've just inspired me with that first photo of the blue quilt with gorgeous crocheted appliques-it will be beautiful. A hobby, like quilting, should bring joy, not guilt. You'll get through those projects because they are lovely, but there's a life to be lived outside of quilting, and you're doing that. Relax! One day you'll surprise yourself with all the quilting miles you've covered.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Laughing Gas Quilts! I feel guilty when I don’t get to touch my sewing machine for a month (or months) at a time, but mostly I’m trying to spend at least SOME time being creative, even if I don’t get to sew!
