Snowflake Monday

Today’s pattern is from the green snowflake "dinosaur egg" rock I made for one of my grands for Easter. Can you figure out the inspiration for the name for today's snowflake? (I was tempted to name it after a Wyoming business, but didn't want anyone to think I was favoring a specific brand...)

While testing the pattern on my workday commuter train, I ran out of white thread. I had some pale lavender blue, so I used that for the final round. I may have to work up a whole bunch of white snowflakes with that color for the final round. Because, my, that really looks sharp!

The leftovers were just enough for one owl eye. I've been trying to make owl amigurumi from every color of hand-dyed thread currently in my stash since about February.

You may do whatever you'd like with snowflakes you make from this pattern, but you may not sell or republish the pattern. Thanks, and enjoy!

Finished Size: 4 inches from point to point
Materials: Size 10 crochet thread, size 7 crochet hook, empty pizza box, wax paper or plastic wrap, cellophane tape, water soluble school glue or desired stiffener, water, glitter, small container for glue/water mixture, paintbrush, stick pins that won't be used later for sewing, clear thread or fishing line

  1. Bah, what's a little favoritism between snowflakes.
