Snowflake Monday

Today's snowflake is another inspired by that gorgeous little pillow I received for Christmas. It took me a few tries (in daylight) on the first effort to get the spokes just the way I wanted them, and I didn't get to finish the final Round until evening, when the ambience is fitting for a chilly evening in front of the electric fireplace but not so user-friendly for making snowflakes with a tiny hook and thread.

As I was pinning the glow-glue flake even later in the evening, I noticed one spoke was a bit darker than the rest. I kept trying to rub off the glue, thinking it had become dirty somehow. I finally turned on a brighter light and put on my glasses.

One of my hairs had become an intricate feature in the snowflake!!! Try picking a very long blonde hair out of a tightly crocheted snowflake with a stick pin and no glasses on (because I was too lazy to go retrieve them from the bedroom after I'd put everything else away) by the light of a flickering candle-like bulb!!!

This particular flake may pass an unintentional piece of me on to the next generation!

You may do whatever you'd like with snowflakes you make from this pattern, but you may not sell or republish the pattern. Thanks, and enjoy!
