I took way too many photos of the five red sunflowers that popped up in my garden this year. All were volunteers. Squirrels and other garden terrorists devoured all the seeds I planted.
Good thing I snapped photos. Raccoons ate the entire sunflower heads the day after each opened.
Yes, I still have flowers in my garden in mid October! Just no more red sunflowers. No more red and yellow sunflowers. No more chocolate sunflowers.
Next year, I think I'll make more bouquets to keep the animals from eating my red sunflowers!!!
