We got 14 inches of gorgeous, heavy, wet snow the day after our resident marmots didn't see their shadows. Oh, how joyous! However, this much-needed moisture wasn't very good for snowflake photography.
Snowflakes were melting as quickly as they hit my glass.
We had another storm last weekend that gifted us another six inches. I had a little better luck this time, but most of the snowy day, the snowflakes weren't delicate and photogenic.
They had put on their winter coats!
